Hailing from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Tanya Ryan has been described as Patsy Cline in high tops, belting out smooth, classic vocals with a modern approach to delivery and songwriting. Singer, songwriter, and bass player, Tanya resides in the Alberta Foothills, where she has been honing and shaping her music. She’s earned the grand title of almost every music-based competition in Alberta: taking the crown in Calgary Stampede’s Nashville North Star Contest (2012), Ponoka Stampede Talent Competition (2012) and Country 105’s Rising Star Competition (2011), among others. In 2014, Tanya was part of the Canadian Country Music Association’s (CCMA) Discovery Program.
