8th Annual Jamboree for Charity Toronto Breaks Fundraising Record
What an amazing night celebrating friendship and Canadian country music while raising funds for Kids Help Phone and the Flo Walker Stardust Fund. Thanks to your generous donations and other fundraising contributions, we raised over $214,000, breaking our previous fundraising efforts in Toronto. Since its inception, the Jamboree for Charity has raised millions through its events in both Calgary and Toronto. (See our impacted organizations here.)
Said event presenter, and Founder of Craig Senyk Initiatives, Craig Senyk, “Our Jamborees not only raise funds for worthwhile charities, but support Canadian musicians. This year’s Toronto Jamboree featured The Reklaws, Tyler Joe Miller, Hailey Benedict, Kelsi Mayne and Jens Lindemann; it was a banner lineup that helped raise $214,000 for Kids Help Phone while putting another $150,000 into the hands of Canadian musicians.”
Thanks again to all of you who got your boots and hats on to celebrate with us this year. Your attendance and donations really make a difference to those in need. 100% of all donations received through the 8th Annual Jamboree for Charity Toronto will help Kids Help Phone (KHP), Canada’s only 24/7, free, confidential, and multilingual e-mental health solution. Whether through professional counselling, crisis response, or self-directed mental health resources, KHP has been a trusted space for youth for over 35 years.
“We are incredibly grateful to Craig Senyk Initiatives for hosting the amazing 8th Annual Jamboree for Charity in support of Flo Walker Stardust Fund at Kids Help Phone,” said Aaron Sanderson, Group Head & Executive Vice President, Advancement and Donor Experience of Kids Help Phone. “The funds raised at this event will support KHP’s peer-to-peer community, the only free, moderated 24/7 digital platform of its kind in Canada, offering an online space where youth can reach out, encourage each other and access support from other young people. Sometimes it’s tough to find a safe place where youth can connect with others experiencing similar challenges, but that’s exactly what Kids Help Phone is here to do: give young folks a safe space to feel out loud, 24/7, without judgement. Thanks to Craig and an incredible community of supporters, like those at the Jamboree, we’re helping to empower youth to thrive in their world.”
See you all next year!
